Ingredients  

  1. Peel the turnip and cut it into smaller pieces. 
  2. Put in a saucepan and bring to boil. 
  3. Cook until the turnip is soft.
  4. Pour out the water and mash the turnips with a potato masher or hand mixer.
  5. Add the heavy cream and butter, and season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
  6. If you want to avoid dairy products, the heavy cream can be skipped.
