WHAT IS IT
Fisetin is a flavonol, a yellow plant pigment that belongs to the flavonoid group of polyphenols. It gives color to many different fruits and vegetables - strawberries to be the one that stands out with 160 micrograms of fisetin per gram.

WHY USE IT
Research so far has shown that fisetin:

- has the ability to slow the aging process and extend lifespan by destroying senescent cells ("zombie cells" that no longer divide)
- has powerful anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and immune-supporting properties
- may protect the brain and improve memory
- might delay aging
- helps control blood sugar
- may have anticancer properties
- protects the liver and heart

HOW TO USE IT
The amount of fisetin consumed in clinical trials vary greatly, with participants taking doses ranging from 100 milligrams per day to 1,400 milligrams daily.

Recommendations on fisetin supplement labels vary as well, with doses ranging from 100–500 milligrams per day.

There isn’t enough research to make an educated recommendation on an appropriate fisetin dosage.

Researchers do know that the antioxidant is fat-soluble, so consuming it with fats promotes better absorption.
